Welcome to Kendall Bierman Therapy

Hi, I'm Kendall Bierman, a licensed therapist and Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor. My passion for this work stems from my personal journey navigating anxiety and substance abuse in college.

Like many young adults, those years were a profound struggle for me. What was supposed to be an exciting new chapter quickly became a time of deep inner turmoil. Anxiety that I had grappled with since childhood spiraled, and I found myself coping through unhealthy means. Thankfully, with the support of a compassionate therapist, I was able to achieve sobriety and discover a renewed sense of self and purpose.

That transformative experience is what inspired me to become a therapist. I know firsthand how challenging it can feel to be stuck in a cycle of distress, but I also know that recovery is possible with the right support. Now, my goal is to provide that same empathetic, nonjudgmental presence to my clients as they navigate their own unique journeys.

Whether you're struggling with anxiety, substance use, body image concerns, or relational difficulties, I'm here to meet you exactly where you are. Through an integrative approach, drawing from evidence-based modalities like CBT, DBT, and relational therapy, we'll work together to uncover your inner strengths and develop personalized strategies for growth and healing.

Change can be daunting, but you don't have to face it alone. If you're ready to take the first step, I encourage you to reach out. I look forward to supporting you in this process.

Embrace the journey of self-discovery and growth. Seeking therapy is the first step towards a brighter tomorrow. Your story matters, and I'm here to listen without judgment.

At KendallBTherapy, I aim to meet each of my clients where they are in their healing journey. Change is scary. I don’t expect any of my clients to meet with me once or twice and then start making drastic changes in their lives. The Transtheoretical model suggests that people move through 6 stages of change. If you’re just beginning therapy, you’re probably in the 1st (pre-contemplation) or 2nd (contemplation) stage of change. It takes time and work to move from one stage to the next. Whether you’re ready to make a change tomorrow or unsure when you’ll be prepared to do so, I am here to meet you where you are. Let’s work together to figure out what you’re struggling with, why you’re struggling with it, and develop strategies to manage or overcome them effectively.

I primarily work with young adults experiencing a range of symptoms, such as anxiety, substance misuse, relational issues, body image concerns, and support for those with loved ones engaging in substance abuse
